So you don't like those big yellow smilies, eh? Here's how to get your own!
1. Start by opeing your FTP>> Cutenews>> data>> emoticons. There, you'll see a list of smilies.. these are the ones you currently have!
2. Delete all of them. Now download some smilies you like from here, here or here. Sorry if these sites move or close down, feel free to search around for other resourceful sites. Wherever you choose smilies from, remeber to credit!
3. Then extract the files. If you're not sure how, click for my tutorial!
4. Back in FTP, hi-lite all the newly downloaded smilies by clicking and dragging your mouse from one corner to the opposite. Upload everything to the emoticons folder you left off in [example]
5. Now go to http://yoursite.com/cutenews, then hit Options>> System Configurations. You should see a smilies field with either some names or nothing. Delete what's there.
6. Back in FTP (again), copy down the name of each smilie. Open your Cutenews System Configuration and type the list of smilies in the order as you see them in FTP!
