faded base

Faded bases are applicable to anything ranging from Layouts to PSDs! They add a nice affect and are very simple to do.

1. Here is the graphic I will be using to walk you through my tutorial.

2. Paste it on any background [example] It can be a solid colour, texture.. the background is up to you.
3. Then take the Rectangular Marquee Tool: and change your settings to match mine

5. Click and drag your mouse over the base of your picture and a floating line should appear like this

6. Press 'Delete' on your keyboard a few times until you get the effect you want

7. Now click anywhere on your canvas to exit the floating line and select Layers>> Merge Visible. You're done!
