Do you see how when you go to my site, there is a little robot in front of the web address? Those images are called FavIcons:
To get one on YOUR site, it is actually quite easy. Just follow the steps and it will work!
1. Start by finding an Image of your choice that you want your favicon to be. It should have a simple, eye-catching shape. Try not to do one that another site has. You want it to be unique; kind of like your site logo. Once you've got yours, SAVE IT!
2. Now click HERE and you should be directed to a favicon site generator. The homepage will look something like the Image below. Press Browse and find the Image you chose before. Got it? Click "Generate FavIcon.ico (Ignore the Scrolling text and Animate Favicon options for now)
3. You will be directed to this page after your favicon has uploaded. It will have a little preview of what it will look like and you can even test it in your browser! Press "Download FavIcon" and you should save it to a folder where you will remeber that its there.
4. You're almost done! Then, you must upload it onto either myfilestash, Imageshack, photobucket or freewebs. Minimize Imageshack or whatever server you used to upload your FavIcon.
5. Open your page editor. Copy & paste the code below:
