patterns

Patterns add a nice touch to any layout! Find out how you can add one to yours! 1. First, you need your pattern, so take mine or use another one:

2. Save it and open it in Photoshop. Go to Edit>> Define pattern>> OK [example]

3. Now take the image you want a pattern on and duplicate it

4. Click Layer>> Layer Style>> Pattern Overlay. This will come up

5. Settings are entirely up to you so play around with everything to get the effect you want. Once you've got it, select OK

6. Then take the Eraser Tool and make sure your brush is set to a regular round one:
7. Begin erasing where you don't want the pattern to appear

8. Once you're done, press and hold Ctrl + E to merge the layers together:
